A Typical Day
At Surf Camp 79 we focus on small groups and personal development to make sure you get the most out of your stay. We provide theory classes and photo analysis for everyone* who books a surf camp package. (subject to which days you book with us).
Our Method
We start with basic safety rules, a detailed introduction of all the important issues related to the ocean, equipment, and techniques. We want to be sure you can keep yourself safe!
You will be put into a group with the same or similar skill level.
Surf for Beginners
For people who have little or no experience. The basic actions, movements, and positions will be developed. This will prepare you for the more challenging situations that you will face at sea and in the waves.
Surf for Intermediates
For more experienced students, we will review and improve some basic points that require attention. We will direct and guide you to get you to the next level. A lot will depend on your previous experiences and your individual expectations.
Throughout the duration of your surf trip, we will visit a variety of beaches that are suitable according to the condition of the waves, and winds and that will help our students with their development of techniques.

A Typical Day
At Surf Camp 79, surf sessions are on tap seven days a week. We're all about delivering that personalised, hands-on experience, which is why we keep our pupil-to-instructor ratio low.
A typical day with us starts with a complimentary breakfast on the roof top beach after which groups are formed based on your skill level. Our head surf guide pairs up groups with local instructors that we have hand picked based on their knowledge and skills.
In the afternoon you may be surfing, taking part in an activity, or checking out the photos and videos from earlier in the day.
We always inform you via our whatsApp group in the early evening the timings and location of the next day.

Weekly Schedule
Please note that the activities included in the surf camp package are scheduled throughout the week. If you book for less than a week, you will only participate in the activities on the days you stay with us.

Get the feeling of riding small rolling and breaking waves. You will be losing your balance and falling off but we guarantee you will be standing up and having fun.

Our beginner surf lessons take place at Selong Belanak Beach, boasting easy beach access. Picture-perfect Selong Belenak unfolds as a stunning sheltered bay, offering gentle rolling waves tailor-made for novice surfers to master their moves in a safe, sandy-bottomed haven.
With our instructors at the helm, expect a playful and upbeat atmosphere that'll turn your first foray into surfing into a memorable blast. Soft white sands, crystalline waters, and the occasional buffalo parade set the scene for your adventure.
Post-lesson, kick back on sun loungers, beanbags, or under parasols available for rent, soaking up the sun's rays in style. And when hunger strikes, local warungs beckon with tantalizing treats to refuel your energy.
If you are still around at 5 pm, you're in for a visual treat—a breathtaking sunset painting the sky right before your eyes. Selong Belanak Beach: where every wave brings joy and every sunset steals the show!
